We are thrilled to announce the kickoff of our EUREKA Eurostars project hepatoMX! Together with our partner TAmiRNA GmbH from Austria, we are developing hepatoMX — a groundbreaking urinary microRNA diagnostic test for the early, non-invasive detection of metabolic liver disease.

Over the next three years, we will:

• Develop and validate a novel urinary microRNA signature,
• Build an NGS-based detection system, and
• Implement automated RNA isolation for scalable, cost-effective diagnostics.

The project is coordinated by Catalyze, ensuring smooth project management and delivery toward clinical validation and IVDR CE-IVD accreditation. We hosted the official kickoff in Amsterdam on September 15–16 — including a boat cruise through the canals and a scientific workshop at the AUMC.

At You2Yourself, we are delighted to announce that we have received a significant investment from our current Angel investors and Oost NL through the Overijssel Innovation Fund, a fund of the province of Overijssel for which Oost NL is the fund manager. This investment will enable us to further validate our groundbreaking product and bring it to the market. To accelerate our innovation, Oost NL brought us in contact with two mentors through their Business Angels Network.

Bram De Moor, CEO of You2Yourself: “This investment is a crucial step for us. We can now validate our algorithm and optimize the technology for scaling up. Within four years, we expect to prove that nine common diseases can be detected at an early stage.”

Geert Corstens, investment manager Health at Oost NL: “Preventive medicine will become more important to counter rising healthcare costs. The Y2Y test can play an important role in the early detection and treatment of diseases.”

What a fantastic LEVEL UP 2025 start-up event yesterday at the Evoluon in Eindhoven!
